Six Flags is moving its corporate headquarters back to Texas! 🎢![]()

The company plans to leave Charlotte and relocate to its existing Arlington offices in 2027—bringing Six Flags back to the city where the brand was born.![]()

Charlotte made sense following the Cedar Fair merger. Cedar Fair CEO Richard Zimmerman led the combined company, while legacy Six Flags CEO Selim Bassoul became executive chairman. Both have since departed, along with several other merger-era leaders.![]()

Now, under new CEO John Reilly, the move to Arlington feels like another sign of a major leadership reset. The Dallas–Fort Worth area provides a huge airport hub, an existing Six Flags corporate presence and Texas’ business-friendly, no-state-income-tax environment.![]()

No relocation incentive package has been announced, so the tax environment should be viewed as a potential advantage—not a confirmed reason for the move.![]()

Normally with the kids, we’re doing parent swap — so while they were at school, we snuck away for a Cedar Point date day and FINALLY got to experience Siren’s Curse side by side! 🙌![]()

And because it’s tucked away near Breakwater Bay and Perch Plummet, I feel like a TON of Cedar Point guests don’t even realize it’s here.![]()
