Brand New Event for 2024!
Boardwalk Nights at Cedar Point is a brand new event for 2024 and starts on July 19th and runs nightly until August 18th. The event will run every day except for Tuesdays.
Overview (TLDR Version)
- July 19th – August 18th from 7 PM – 10 PM (Excludes Tuesdays)
- Access to event is included with admission/season pass.
- Live Performance Acts including fire, daredevils and a giant wheel!
- Live Music at the Sandbar, the SeaGALS, and DJ Lemmy on the Beach.
- Characters include Ms. Popcorn and Ms. Cotton Candy!
- Fire Pits and Glow in the Dark Volleyball on the Beach.
- New “Boardwalk Ball” and bringing back Seagull and mini wheel games.
- Food: “flavored popcorn, colossal cotton candy, and loaded footlongs with pulled pork, mac ‘n cheese, and BBQ sauce”
- Drinks: “That’s the Bomb!” spiked ICEE® and collector lemonade and limeade shakers in flavors like watermelon jalapeño, strawberry basil, and piña colada.”
Admission
This event is included with your daily admission or season pass! There is no extra cost to attend Boardwalk Nights. Come and check it out!
If you are not a Season Pass holder, I encourage you to check out their bundle which includes a $20 credit that can be used at the event. During Cedar Point Nights, this could be used towards food and games.
Entertainment
For the event, it looks like Cedar Point is going all out this year! According the Cedar Point Website, “high dive daredevils, fire manipulators, extreme teeter tottering, hand-to-hand human balancing, synchronized kite flying and the ultimate test of skill on the 40-foot-tall Wheel of Destiny”.
This sounds very familiar to what we saw at HalloWeekends last year with the acts that performed during Midnight Syndicate’s performance (We were sad to hear they aren’t coming back to HalloWeekends in 2024.).
There will also be fire pits along the beach during the event for guests to enjoy!
Music
Cedar Point will also have various types of music during the event, from a live DJ on the beach to the SeaGALs performing along the boardwalk. Here is what they said on the Cedar Point Website :
“Enjoy the soulful SeaGals – the diva Dreamgirls of Cedar Point who might charm a French fry or two from you! Swing into the past with the Steamboat Swing Dance Party and enjoy modern twists on classics with Strike Up The Band. Put your toes in the sand and dance your pants off as Boardwalk Nights extends to the legendary mile-long Cedar Point Beach with DJ Lemmy spinning the tunes all night long… and wander down the beach boardwalk to the Sandbar and enjoy live music in front of historic Hotel Breakers.”
Games
At Boardwalk Nights, you will be able to play glow in the dark volleyball on the beach and something new called “Boardwalk Ball” where six players face off in an elimination style of play! They will also have midway type games, like throw the ring on the seagull and the mini wheel, which we saw at Cedar Point Nights too.
Food
Like the previous event Cedar Point Nights, Boardwalk Nights boasts to have some specialty food and drink for all to enjoy. This will not likely be on the meal plan! This is what Cedar Point had to say on their website :
“Savor Boardwalk Bites: flavored popcorn, colossal cotton candy, and loaded footlongs with pulled pork, mac ‘n cheese, and BBQ sauce. Sip on signature cocktails like “That’s the Bomb!” spiked ICEE® and collector lemonade and limeade shakers in flavors like watermelon jalapeño, strawberry basil, and piña colada.”
Conclusion
This event looks extremely similar to Cedar Point’s previous event called Cedar Point Nights and we did a full video on this event a couple years ago after Cedar Point invited us out to experience their premium bungalow, and it was awesome. We were so disappointed when it did not return last year, but it looks like this event is back and better than ever!
