The All Park Passport!
This year, we opted to upgrade our Cedar Point Season Pass to include the “All Park Passport”. For those familiar with Cedar Point’s season pass structure, this essentially transforms the Gold or Prestige pass into a platinum pass add on. In previous years, the platinum pass allowed pass holders to visit all of the Cedar Fair parks, they operate 11 amusement parks. In 2024, the platinum pass was removed and the all park passport is now an add on.
With our All Park passport we have been able to visit Carowinds, Kings Dominion, Kings Island, and Knott’s Berry Farm all before June!
this add on really has the potential to save money if your planning on visiting other Cedar Fair parks outside of Knott’s, since we were able to drive to most of the other Cedar Fair parks from our home park, Cedar Point.
They also offer an upgrade for park meal plans and drink plans, so we were able to redeem our passes for meals and drinks while we visit.
The only drawback we have found when visiting the other parks is that some parks (“Kings Island”), do not offer a Pre K pass! Fortunately, we could use our free Bring a friend ticket on our prestige pass during our visit for our two kids over 3.
Knott’s Berry Farm
Of all the Cedar Fair Parks, Knott’s has one of the most unique identities. The park originally began as a restaurant and was famous for selling the boysenberry! Knott’s famous chicken dinners drew such a crowd that they added attractions to keep people busy. Fast forward to today, it’s a world class theme park with some special boysenberry treats!
Knott’s is situated in Southern California near Disneyland. After our first visit to Disneyland last year, we enjoyed the laid back vibe of Knott’s. Disneyland was a pretty stressful visit since the parking can be a disaster!
Although Knott’s is a smaller park in the Cedar Fair Chain, it still boasts 10 roller coasters! One of its more famous coasters is Xcelerator! This ride launches you from 0-82 in just 2.8 seconds! This ride was a blast and you could definitely see it was a precursor to rides like Top Thrill Dragster and King da Ka!
Besides roller coasters, Knott’s is well known for its old western themed land, Ghost Town. Between two of its main events, Ghost Town Alive and Knott’s Scary Farm, Knott’s attracts approximately 4 million guests per year! Knott’s scary farm is also considered the best Halloween event on the west coast only rivaled by the east coast’s Halloween Horror Night in Orlando.
During our visit, we wanted to provide a full walkthrough of the park for Cedar Fair pass holders that don’t call Knott’s their home park. Most of the Cedar Fair parks are located thousands of miles from Knott’s, so enjoy the content and let me know if you plan on visiting this awesome park!
They have some unique attractions like the stage coach and the Calico Mine Ride! They also recently added a dark ride shooter, Knott’s Bear-y Tales, which is a must do for all the awesome Berry smells!
Also be sure to check out Camp Snoopy in Summer 2024! They are adding a new family roller coaster and a new swing attraction! The walls were still up during our visit, but we can’t wait until they come down!
Make sure to get some boysenberry while you’re there and stop by Knotts famous chicken dinner! It’s not on the meal plan but it’s favorite of guests at the park!
If you’re traveling to Knott’s Berry Farm, also be sure to check out the Knott’s hotel! The hotel recently underwent a large renovation in 2023, and it’s definitely worth staying!
