HalloWeekends 2024!
Cedar Point’s HalloWeekends is back for the 2024 Halloween season until November 2nd! The park is open for select days from Thursday to Sunday, but be sure to check the schedule and guide here depending on what you plan to experience this year!
Most of the Spooktacular shows don’t play on Thursdays, but Thursdays will likely have the lowest crowds, while Saturdays will be the busiest!
Sundays seem to be the best family days since the scare zones will not be open in the evenings and the kids activities are during the day too!
Cedar Point’s HalloWeekends event is special since the whole park doesn’t close down for the scary events in the evening. The front of the park remains open and has a family friendly area, meaning the kids can come too! The back of the park is recommended for those 13 and older (in my opinion) for the scare zones!
HalloWeekends Refined!
This year, we visited on a Thursday for opening night and we really noticed a lot of small improvements around the park, especially at the Grand Pavilion! The Pavilion has new skeletons on the windows and golden skeletons inside!
Although there are no new scare zones or haunted houses this year, Cedar Point has spent a lot of time and effort into refining the event!
The big highlight this year is the new Interactive Lantern. The lantern interacts with live shows, scare zones, and haunted houses, which adds a new layer of experiences for guests. There are also special purple lantern locations around the park for guests to experience some spooky extras! This is our favorite thing about HalloWeekends this year! The lantern is $39.99 and can. Be found in Point Place or Pagoda gifts. It’s also eligible for a season pass discount!
Two scare zones received a refresh or at least a new name. Tombstone Terror-Tory back in Frontier Town is now Tombstone Terror-Tory evil elixirs, and Clownz Death Metal Tour is now Clownz Hall of Infamy.
We could really see the improvements to the Clownz Hall of infamy scare zone with the new stage and the zone was full of scare actors! The butchers of rock band is a MUST SEE, the really ROCK!
However I couldn’t notice any big improvements to Tombstone Terror-Tory yet. I plan on experiencing it again to see if anything changes.
There will be new specialty food this year and we plan on experiencing that next week! Specialty food items are not on the meal plan but accept a season pass discount based on our previous experiences.
