Siren’s Curse
Cedar Point announced a brand new roller coaster coming in 2025, Siren’s Curse! This brand new roller coaster from Vekoma Rides is a TILT Coaster, meaning riders will stop at the top of the 160 foot hill and pivot from a 0 degree to 90 degree drop reaching a max speed of 58 MPH!
Siren’s Curse will be the TALLEST, LONGEST, and FASTEST Tilt Coaster in North America and will feature 13 seconds of airtime! Two firsts will also appear on this ride for Cedar Point, on-board audio to help enhance the experience, and LED’s on the outside of the train cars to mimic the “silky movements” of a siren.
Per Cedar Point, “You’ll hear the echo of the siren’s chilling melodies as you ascend an old 160-foot-tall Lake Erie shipping crane tower, the sounds growing more sinister as you reach the top. “
The Theme for the attraction is a Siren from Lake Erie according to Cedar Point “Often spoken of – but never spotted, the sirens of the lake who lured sailors to their underwater demise with their sweet, seductive songs will finally rise to the land above Cedar Point and attempt to entrap you in a sinister two-minute fate of non-stop roller coaster innovation.”
Siren’s Curse will have a minimum height requirement of 48″. We really hope our son is tall enough to ride at the beginning of next season!
The location of the ride will be next to Valravn and Millennium force, across from Iron Dragon. It looks like Cedar Point will be extending the road to the water park around the build area to extend the total interior size of the park to make room for it.
