Winter Chill Out Returns in 2026

After a lot of uncertainty, Winter Chill Out is officially coming back.

Tony Clark confirmed that Winter Chill Out 2026 will take place on February 21, 2026. Many fans feared the event might not happen this year due to the lack of major ride openings, but Cedar Point is keeping the tradition alive.

Based on last year’s experience, tickets are expected to sell out extremely fast. Cedar Point used a virtual queue system similar to Disney, where guests had to join the queue the moment sales opened. Miss the window, and you were out of luck.

If you plan to attend, be ready the second tickets go live.

Boardwalk Nights On Clearance Mug

A Brand-New Cedar Point Event Is Coming

One of the most intriguing announcements is an all-new Cedar Point event planned for later this year. No details have been released yet, which has sparked plenty of speculation.

Could this replace Boardwalk Nights?

Is Cedar Point reviving something similar to the old Frontier Festival?

Frontier Festival was a fan-favorite spring event in Frontier Town and hasn’t returned in recent years. With Boardwalk Nights merchandise appearing on clearance last season, many are wondering if changes are coming to Cedar Point’s event lineup.

For now, it’s a mystery, but it’s clear Cedar Point has something new in the works.

Record-Breaking Fireworks for July 4, 2026

Cedar Point is planning something truly special for Independence Day 2026.

To celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, Cedar Point will host an extra-large Fourth of July celebration. According to Tony Clark, this could be the biggest fireworks show Cedar Point has ever done.

Fireworks at Cedar Point are always spectacular thanks to the park being surrounded by water, but 2026’s show is expected to be on another level.

In past years, Cedar Point has also offered VIP fireworks viewing areas on the beach and at the Grand Pavilion. If VIP options return for this historic celebration, they are likely to sell out quickly.

Corkscrew

Corkscrew Turns 50 Years Old

One of Cedar Point’s most iconic roller coasters is hitting a major milestone.

In 2026, Corkscrew turns 50 years old.

This legendary ride made coaster history as the first roller coaster to feature three inversions and is instantly recognizable as it flies over the park’s midway. While it may be a rough ride today, its historical importance makes it a must-ride during its anniversary season.

2026 Is Shaping Up to Be a Big Year

Even without a new roller coaster opening, Cedar Point is clearly planning a strong 2026 season with special events, historic celebrations, and fan-favorite traditions returning.

With Opening Day approaching, excitement is building fast.
